Prizes and RulesWhat does the winner receive?The winning design will receive: Three (3) nights with Breakfast for two (2) persons at Karma Jimbaran or Karma Samui. The award is valid for 12 months, is subject to availability and is not available during peak season (15 Dec 2010 - 10 Jan 2011). The value of the prize is equal to US$ 1,750 (Karma Jimbaran) and US$ 1,950 (Karma Samui). Karma and the winner will also release a joint press release promoting the selection of the design. How will the winner be determined?The winner will be selected based on two criteria (1) the public voting and (2) the opinion of a panel of judges. In the event of a conflict between the two criteria, the opinion of the panel of judges will prevail. Who will be on the panel of judges?John Spence, Owner and Chairman, Karma Royal Group; Richard Hallam, Karma Resorts, Group Director; Clinton Albuquerque, Group Creative Director Are they any limitations on the contents / subjects of the designs?Yes there are some limitations / requirements. Aside from suitability issues (for example, no obscenity, etc.), we also require that all designs incorporate in some fashion either the Karma "K" logo or the full Karma Resorts logo. The logo / symbol does not have to be the dominant element in the design, but it should be present in some fashion. How long will the contest last?The contest will run for 3 months, with the winner announced before the end of May 2010. What will the design be used for?The design will be used on t-shirts, Polo shirts, caps and possibly other merchandise, depending on suitability for purpose. The merchandise will be sold on-site at the K Boutique at each of the Karma Resort properties throughout the region. Who owns the intellectual property rights to the designs?The rights to the winning design will belong to Karma Resorts Group. The rights to all other designs remain with the designers (you don't lose any of your rights merely by submitting your design here!). What are the requirements for submitting designs?The complete guidelines you need to satisfy to enter are listed on the page containing the submission form. If I win, how long do I have to deliver final art?The winner must submit final art to Karma within five (5) business days of being notified of their selection. Final artwork must be submitted in high res vector format. Failure to submit the proper artwork within the time period will result in forfeit of the prize.
