About the Karma Resorts Group

Conceived by British entrepreneur and philanthropist John Spence, Karma Resorts is an expanding portfolio of elite luxury boutique villa developments in some of the world’s most remarkable locations. Marrying design flair, state of the art amenities and an approach to service that is as creative as it is exclusive, Karma Resorts heralds a privileged new kind of destination experience. Karma Resorts currently operates two oceanfront resorts on Bali’s dramatic southern peninsula and another in Koh Samui, Thailand, all of them earning the highest industry accolades, including membership of the Leading Small Hotels of the World.

Karma Jimbaran is a medley of 38 luxury villas set on a gentle slope just meters from the ivory sands and tranquil waters of Jimbaran Bay, famed for its radiant sunsets and excellent seafood. Karma Kandara brings together 46 luxury sea view villas on a spectacular cliff top overlooking the Indian Ocean. Suspended 85 metres above the surf, the resort’s destination restaurant di Mare serves zestful Mediterranean-meets-Pacific Rim cuisine. An inclinator transports guests down the sheer face of the cliff to Nammos Beach Club, a private folly that conjures the romance of the Greek Islands. Set in a charming cove overlooking the gulf of Thailand, the 36 luxury villas of Karma Samui descend in elegant terraces to the edge of the sea.

Karma Pelikanos is the latest property to join the ever growing Karma Resorts luxury collection – a stand alone luxury residence that celebrates the old world charm of traditional Greek building design – sparkling white walls contrasting with window frames and shutters in a shade of blue as deep and vivid as the Aegean. Interiors and furnishings are by talented UK designer Gareth Johns and his partner Celia, who have created a contemporary space with classic overtones, featuring moulded stone banquettes set with thick upholstery. Pergolas with bamboo battens – a typical Mykonian design feature – keep things authentic.

Development is now underway on two new luxury residential properties. Karma Margaret River celebrates the idyllic charms of this famous winemaking region in Western Australia, while Karma Agung, named after the sacred volcano that rears skyward behind it, spill down a hillside on Bali’s magical eastern coast. Exquisite new luxury villa resorts will soon unfold in Palawan (Philippines), Langkawi (Malaysia), Lombok (Indonesia), Fiji, Goa and Kerala (India), putting Karma Resorts at the vanguard of 21st century global luxury living.
